Ciao Italia Scozia and Northern Ireland is part of the worldwide
Ciao Italia family of restaurants guaranteeing quality and authenticity in Italian cuisine.
It is a non-profit making organisation which has been uniting Italian Restaurateurs around the world.
It all started in 1979, when delegations from all over the world descended on the Eternal City for the 1st ever Ciao Italia Congress headed by the Onorevole Dott. Bartolo Ciccardini.
Italian restaurants are, as many Presidents of the Republic of Italy have said, "the true Italian Ambassadors", providing traditional warm hospitality, fine food and wine using quality authentic products.
The growth in popularity of Italian restaurants over the last 50 years in Scotland and Northern Ireland has been truly extraordinary. It is our aim to ensure that such a growth should be accompanied by a guarantee of quality.
Among the aims of Ciao Italia Scozia are:
- To promote Italian cuisine by using only genuine Italian ingredients and products.
- To raise awareness of "all things Italian".
- To support and assist members in the hotel and restaurant trade.
- To promote the Italian hospitality industry as an attractive career choice and to encourage a future workforce to train in this profession.
Ultimately, Ciao Italia as an organisation aims to be synonymous with all that is great about Italian cuisine and culture.
In addition to offering members the chance to be associated with this unique Italian identity, members also benefit from Bupa Group Health Insurance at greatly discounted yearly rate and a network of benefits and opportunities.
Ciao Italia is – as our logo proudly states –
“the sign of authentic Italian Cuisine”.
Cordially,
Gr. Uff. Gianni Donfrancesco
